Personal
Pota is a Greek name as she is first generation Greek-American. She was raised by her immigrant parents with the traditional values that are the foundation of her life and success-of honest dealings with others, diligence, loyalty and reliability.
She is originally from Miami, Fl and has lived in San Francisco almost 30 years. Before moving to San Francisco she lived in Washington D.C., working as a legal researcher specializing in aviation and international trade. Prior to that she lived in Philadelphia while attending the University of Pennsylvania where she studied Economics.
She is a San Francisco property owner with personal experience in TICs and condo conversions. Married with one child in high school, she enjoys being active in the community.
When not working Pota enjoys yoga, travel, and long walks with friends.
Education
Pota has a degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. She speaks Greek fluently and has traveled extensively.
Community Service
Pota is an active parent in her son’s school. She has also served on the Board of Trustees at Gateway Public Schools, and has chaired the fundraising committee at Gateway Middle School. Previously she coordinated Art in Action, a volunteer-run program which provides art education to students based on famous masterpieces. She oversaw 55 parent volunteers in her son’s elementary school and was responsible for the program’s administration.
