Just below Mount Sutro, in a corner of District 4, Forest Knolls is a lusciously green area filled with pine, redwood and eucalyptus groves. Outdoorsy types can hike, bike, or stroll through the Mount Sutro Open Space Reserve, which takes up a significant chunk of this tree-filled oasis. City amenities can be reached with relative ease but fresh air and open space still are plentiful in the aptly named Forest Knolls.
